Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive cardiopulmonary services to patients of all ages, ensuring high-quality care while respecting patient rights and dignity. Assists in clinical problem-solving and treatment planning to optimize respiratory health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and implement respiratory therapy treatments following physicians' orders and departmental protocols.
• Operate and monitor ventilators, pulse oximeters, and other respiratory equipment accurately.
• Perform procedures such as ABG procurement, chest physiotherapy, intubation assistance, and patient suctioning.
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory conditions and treatment modalities.
• Document therapies administered and update patient records in compliance with hospital standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensuring safety and proper function.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy program or equivalent with an AS Degree.
• Hold NBRC credentials such as CRT, RRT, or RT, and possess current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Minimum of one year of clinical respiratory treatment experience in a hospital setting.
• Ability to read and interpret physicians’ orders, technical manuals, and hospital policies.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare team and patients.
