Job Summary:


Assist patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist by providing skilled rehabilitative treatments and interventions. Support patient progress and ensure documentation complies with regulatory and clinical standards.



Responsibilities:

• Implement evidence-based treatment plans including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive device use.
  
• Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  
• Document all interventions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately within electronic health records.
  
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient status, barriers to progress, and treatment plans.
  
• Participate in team meetings, care conferences, and ongoing training sessions.
  
• Support and supervise students and assist in obtaining necessary DME or supplies per clinical requirements.
  
  
  
  Qualifications:
  
• Hold a valid active PTA license in the state of practice.
  
• Possess at least 1 year of PTA experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings.
  
• Demonstrate proficiency with documenting treatments and clinical documentation systems.
  
• Show strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  
• Be compliant with APTA standards, state practice acts, and ethics.
  
• New graduates with Level II experience considered.
