Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in various ICU and intermediate care units, supporting critical and high-acuity patient needs. Ensure adherence to clinical policies and deliver optimal patient outcomes across multiple units.

Responsibilities:

• Float across different ICU and intermediate care units, adapting to diverse clinical environments.
• Assess patient conditions and implement appropriate nursing interventions aligned with unit protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress using the Epic electronic medical record system.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and travel requirements.
• Adhere to clinical scope of practice during float assignments, including emergency and routine care.

Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia nursing license or pending license in hand by the start date.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU or intermediate care nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Epic electronic health records.
• Ability to work night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00).
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
