Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies, primarily on a part-time basis. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver critical support and administer respiratory treatments in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities:

• Administer ventilator, BiPAP, and CPAP therapies to patients.
• Perform Arterial Blood Gas sampling and analysis accurately.
• Administer medications via nebulizer and metered dose inhalers.
• Cross train in Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) studies to support department needs.
• Educate and act as a resource for team members regarding respiratory procedures.
• Follow established protocols to deliver safe, effective respiratory care.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a current Respiratory Therapist license.
• Require BLS (AHA) certification.
• Require ACLS certification.
• Require NRP certification (highly preferred).
• Associate’s degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• Strong understanding of ventilator management and critical care procedures.
