Job Description

Job Summary:


TRAVEL - RN - IP REHAB (693) is responsible for delivering skilled inpatient rehabilitation nursing care for adult patients. The RN will support patient mobility and rehabilitation goals while ensuring safe, accurate clinical documentation. This role includes rotating weekend coverage and potential floating to medical-surgical units as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide inpatient rehabilitation nursing care that supports mobility, functional recovery, and patient safety.
  • Perform and monitor prescribed procedures including urinary catheterization, peripheral IV insertion, and wound/surgical drain care as ordered.
  • Administer blood products and complete related monitoring and documentation per protocol.
  • Maintain accurate real-time documentation using the Meditech system and complete rehabilitation-specific training resources.
  • Ensure attention to detail in treatments, dressing changes, central line dressing changes, and suture/staple removal tasks as ordered.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and respond to clinical needs during rotating weekend coverage and floating assignments.

Qualifications:

  • Hold an active RN license with eligibility to work in the assigned region.
  • Maintain current BLS certification.
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn specialty patient mobilization skills specific to inpatient rehab.
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn and complete rehabilitation-specific documentation requirements.
  • Bring preferred 2+ years of inpatient experience in medical-surgical, stepdown/critical care, or inpatient rehabilitation nursing.
  • Offer experience in neurological, cardiac, and/or orthopedic adult populations as a strong advantage.
