Job Description
Job Summary:
Performs echocardiography and related diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies to support accurate patient assessment and care planning. Utilizes advanced imaging techniques to capture high-quality images and assist with clinical decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct echocardiograms and fetal echocardiograms using established protocols.
- Perform other diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies as ordered to meet clinical requirements.
- Prepare patients for imaging, ensuring comfort, correct positioning, and clear communication.
- Document and transmit diagnostic findings according to departmental standards.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment readiness by following cleaning and quality assurance procedures.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to support timely, accurate study completion.
Qualifications:
- Hold 1 year of echocardiography/ultrasound experience or related diagnostic imaging experience.
- Maintain active BLS certification.
- Possess ARDMS certification or RDCS credentialing; FE or CCI and/or RCCS preferred.
- Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac ultrasound image acquisition and basic interpretation workflow.
- Verify eligibility with an active NJ or Compact license where applicable.
- Demonstrate readiness to float within skillset as operational needs require.
