Job Summary:

Performs echocardiography and related diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies to support accurate patient assessment and care planning. Utilizes advanced imaging techniques to capture high-quality images and assist with clinical decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct echocardiograms and fetal echocardiograms using established protocols.
• Perform other diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies as ordered to meet clinical requirements.
• Prepare patients for imaging, ensuring comfort, correct positioning, and clear communication.
• Document and transmit diagnostic findings according to departmental standards.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment readiness by following cleaning and quality assurance procedures.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support timely, accurate study completion.

Qualifications:

• Hold 1 year of echocardiography/ultrasound experience or related diagnostic imaging experience.
• Maintain active BLS certification.
• Possess ARDMS certification or RDCS credentialing; FE or CCI and/or RCCS preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac ultrasound image acquisition and basic interpretation workflow.
• Verify eligibility with an active NJ or Compact license where applicable.
• Demonstrate readiness to float within skillset as operational needs require.
