Job Summary:
Provides holistic, individualized nursing care to obstetric and gynecologic patients on the OB unit, utilizing the nursing process. Demonstrates clinical competency, sound judgment, and effective teaching skills to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in accordance with hospital standards and protocols.
• Perform general and unit-specific clinical skills independently, including assessments, documentation, and patient education.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
• Manage supplies and equipment to maintain a safe and efficient clinical environment.
• Adhere to all Standards of Nursing Practice, hospital policies, and compliance regulations, including confidentiality and patient rights.
• Ensure accurate documentation and uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with legal and institutional policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current, valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience, preferably in obstetrics or gynecology.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Successfully complete hospital orientation and unit-specific training.
• Possess effective communication skills, both written and oral.
• Demonstrate proficiency with computer systems and electronic documentation.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation, and STABLE certifications.
• Be vaccinated for COVID-19 as per state mandate.
