Job Summary:
Provide specialized postpartum nursing care to women and their newborns in a busy birthing center. Support patient recovery, family education, and monitor for postpartum complications during 12-hour night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Administer postpartum care to patients, including assessment, medication, and documentation.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using Welch Allen vitals machines and CPN monitors.
• Educate new mothers on postpartum care, infant care, and breastfeeding.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient treatment plans.
• Follow hospital policies and HCA ICARE standards to ensure high-quality patient safety and care.
• Document all clinical procedures accurately in the Meditech / CPN EMR system.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license and possess a minimum of 1-year current acute care postpartum experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in patient assessment, fetal monitoring, and postpartum procedures.
• Be BLS certified, and NRP certification preferred.
• Have experience with gynecological and high-risk obstetrics cases a plus.
• Exhibit a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to stay engaged during long shifts.
