Job Summary:
Provides occupational therapy services to patients to promote independence and improve functional abilities. Collaborates with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities to determine treatment plans.
• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy programs to improve daily living skills.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and adaptive techniques.
• Document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate updates to the multidisciplinary team.
• Coordinate discharge planning and facilitate community-based or home care programs when appropriate.
• Comply with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and professional regulations.

Qualifications:

• Possess a current NYS license as an Occupational Therapist.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage patients and families effectively.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Knowledge of community therapeutic resources and current best practices.
