Job Summary:
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for delivering medical nutrition therapy and education to a diverse patient population within an acute care setting. They collaborate with the healthcare team to assess nutritional needs, develop interventions, and monitor patient progress to promote optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' nutritional status and identify nutrition risks.
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on dietary requirements and nutritional health.
• Document patient progress and nutrition interventions accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate with the Nutrition Services department to ensure diet orders are correctly executed.
• Mentor and supervise dietetic interns, leading educational and practical learning experiences.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Dietitian credential required.
• BLS certification or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care environment.
• Experience with Meditech and CBORD systems preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and neonatal.
