Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an operating room position at a prominent hospital in Asheville, NC. The role involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Coordinate and assist in a variety of surgical procedures across multiple service lines including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma.
• Monitor patient vital signs and ensure patient safety throughout surgical interventions.
• Maintain sterile techniques and operate surgical equipment following hospital protocols.
• Document patient care accurately using the Cerner system.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and tech staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure with an active North Carolina license or the ability to obtain one.
• Minimum of 2 years of operating room or perioperative nursing experience.
• Demonstrate broad surgical knowledge across various specialties.
• Possess excellent critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to variable schedules, including call requirements.
• BLS and ACLS certifications preferred.
