Job Summary:

Responsible for providing specialized psychiatric nursing care to patients with mental health conditions. Collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ mental health status and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Implement therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques.
• Document patient progress and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and coping strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all clinical policies and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Current state RN license or multistate license with clear ETA.
• Minimum of 2 years of behavioral health experience, with at least 1 year of recent travel experience.
• Recent EMR experience, specifically with EPIC platform.
• Valid BLS and CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) certifications; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Must reside at least 40 miles from the facility, with driver’s license verification.
• Ability to float within hospital as needed; flexible with schedule and shifts.
