Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to provide specialized perioperative nursing care in a 70-bed short-term acute care facility. The ideal candidate will have strong surgical experience and be adaptable to facility protocols to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer perioperative nursing care to surgical patients undergoing procedures in the OR.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure smooth operation workflows.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control standards.
• Document all patient care activities accurately using CERNER or designated electronic charting systems.
• Participate in call shifts requiring on-call availability and providing urgent patient coverage as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid WV or Compact RN license; pending license accepted.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in OR setting.
• Current BLS/ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrate orthopedic surgical experience and familiarity with aseptic techniques.
• Ability to work independently, with excellent communication skills.
• Must have verifiable references from recent managerial or charge nurse roles within 2 years.
