Job Summary:

The Surgical Tech will assist in surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, sterilizing equipment, and supporting surgeons and medical staff during surgeries to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments and arranging surgical equipment.
• Assist surgeons and medical teams during surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies.
• Ensure all surgical tools and equipment meet safety and sterilization standards.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Document surgical procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Support post-operative cleanup and equipment sterilization activities.

Qualifications:

• Possess current Surgical Technologist certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in surgical procedures including gen surg, ortho fracture care, vascular, and urology.
• Hold BLS certification and NBSTSA credential.
• Have prior experience as a surgical tech, preferably in travel assignments.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced surgical environments.
• Successful completion of Glens Falls Hospital Operating Room Orientation is required.
