Job Summary:

Provide specialized respiratory care to adult and pediatric patients in a high-acuity hospital setting. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver quality respiratory therapies and ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory treatments, including ventilator management and airway clearance procedures.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust therapies in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and responses in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with intubations, extubations, and emergency airway management when needed.
• Adhere to infection control policies and safety standards to protect patients and staff.
• Demonstrate flexibility by floating to various critical care units as required.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active North Carolina Respiratory License.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Possess RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS certifications; PALS and NRP preferred.
• Have at least 2 years of critical care experience in a hospital environment.
