Job Summary:

Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in the Endoscopy/GILab, supporting gastroenterology and pulmonology procedures. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and optimal clinical outcomes through expert care and coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Administer pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for endoscopic and bronchoscopic procedures.
• Operate and monitor endoscopic equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety standards.
• Administer medications, including sedation, following protocol and physician directives.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and procedure details accurately.
• Respond promptly to emergent situations, providing immediate bedside care when necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians and technical staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse license with at least 2 years of experience in Gastroenterology or Pulmonary specialties.
• Possess current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency in endoscopic procedures and patient management.
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills.
• Be able to return to the hospital within an hour when on call.
• Flexibility to work weekends and weeknights as scheduled.
