Job Summary:

TRAVEL - RN - ED (782) - Wesley West FSED - 7P - 7AP provides emergency department nursing care for a fast-paced 52-bed setting with a focus on patient safety, timely assessment, and efficient treatment. The RN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to manage low-to-moderate acuity patients and support pediatrics through team-based nursing.

Responsibilities:

• Perform rapid patient assessment, triage support, and ongoing vital sign monitoring.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and ensure accurate documentation in Alaris EMR/Meditech.
• Support sedation and other emergency procedures per protocol and provider orders.
• Provide pediatric care using team nursing practices and age-appropriate communication.
• Maintain patient ratios and workflow in alignment with emergency department guidelines.
• Conduct required medication and patient charting checks (including scanning) every time.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Kansas RN license.
• Maintain BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
• Possess current ENPC and NIH competencies.
• Demonstrate emergency department experience, including 2+ years as an RN.
• Show ability to function independently in high-volume, large-facility environments; TNCC and Meditech experience preferred.
• Have prior travel experience or experience covering large emergency department areas.
