Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical unit, ensuring patient safety and promoting recovery through evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions upon admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments, including titrating drips such as heparin based on lab results.
• Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care delivery.
• Document patient findings, interventions, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Respond promptly to patient needs, including emergencies and changing clinical conditions.

Qualifications:

• Valid and unexpired RN license required.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• Experience in Medical Surgical units preferred.
• Ability to assess, prioritize, and delegate patient care tasks effectively.
• Willingness to float as needed and adapt to unit census fluctuations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
