Job Summary:

Provide specialized speech therapy services to neuro and trauma patient populations, focusing on enhancing communication, swallowing, and cognitive functions. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver evidence-based care in inpatient settings, with potential outpatient responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing functions to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Implement therapy interventions aimed at improving speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust therapy strategies accordingly.
• Document patient assessments, treatment progress, and outcomes in compliance with healthcare standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
• Maintain current licensure and certifications as required by state regulations.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Speech Therapist license in Nebraska.
• Hold American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Demonstrate clinical competence in neuro, trauma, and post-intubation rehabilitation.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and ability to work within a team.
• Prior experience in inpatient neuro or trauma settings preferred.
