Job Summary:
Registered Nurse role supporting medical-surgical care in a correctional/detention setting. Provides routine and emergency healthcare through patient assessments, triage, detoxification rounds, and coordination of referrals.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and triage new patients on entry and throughout ongoing care needs.
• Perform routine and emergency nursing care while following established protocols.
• Conduct detoxification rounds in accordance with facility procedures.
• Administer and manage therapies requiring oxygenation and non-invasive airway support, including HFNC, nasal cannula, and oxygen face masks.
• Support infection control by implementing isolation precautions and related nursing interventions.
• Coordinate referrals by identifying health needs and connecting patients with appropriate clinical providers (e.g., dental and mental health).

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse license with eligibility to work in the role.
• Possess current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Complete MOAB requirements; obtain MOAB certification during orientation if not already held.
• Demonstrate 1–2 years of recent clinical experience, with prior correctional or relevant experience preferred.
• Perform advanced practical skills including starting IVs and phlebotomy.
• Provide competency with oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management techniques, including oral suctioning.
