Job Summary:


The Respiratory Therapist provides diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care while assisting physicians in delivering patient treatment. The role delivers patient and family education, monitors for significant clinical changes, and ensures accurate documentation and equipment readiness.



Responsibilities:

• Provide diagnostic and therapeutic treatment and assist physicians with patient care.
  
• Deliver patient education and family support aligned to patient and family needs.
  
• Assess for significant changes in patient condition and respond appropriately through reporting, staffing, and documentation.
  
• Perform pain assessment and take appropriate action according to standard operating procedures.
  
• Complete documentation and electronic charting, including order entry, medication charting, safety/incident variance reports, and required quality reports.
  
• Disassemble, clean, assemble, and maintain respiratory equipment, including tagging equipment requiring maintenance, safety checks, or repair.
  
  
  
  Qualifications:
  
• Hold a Respiratory Therapist credential through the North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care prior to start.
  
• Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association) prior to start.
  
• Maintain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association) prior to start.
  
• Maintain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (American Heart Association) prior to start.
  
• Complete Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) via RQI Partners prior to start.
  
• Demonstrate experience with EMR documentation and respiratory equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance procedures.
