Job Summary:

CA - OR Circulator is a Registered Nurse who supports safe, efficient surgical care by managing the flow of instruments and supplies in the operating room. The role ensures compliance with aseptic technique, patient safety protocols, and documentation standards throughout procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room by verifying sterile setup, required supplies, and equipment readiness.
• Maintain sterile field integrity and assist surgical team members during procedures as needed.
• Coordinate instrument counts and ensure timely resolution of count discrepancies per protocol.
• Support patient safety by following infection control, surgical time-out, and documentation requirements.
• Anticipate surgeon and case needs by organizing instruments and supplies efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team to support smooth turnover and procedure flow.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Possess an active BLS certification.
• Complete TB clearance within the last 12 months.
• Demonstrate proficiency in operating room circulating duties and sterile technique.
• Maintain strong knowledge of infection prevention and surgical safety practices.
• Deliver dependable patient-focused care in a fast-paced surgical environment.
