Job Summary:

Registered Nurse ICU per diem provides high-acuity nursing care in an intensive care environment, ensuring patient safety and evidence-based treatment. This role may float to ED as required and requires readiness to adapt to changing clinical needs.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care for critically ill patients using established ICU nursing protocols.
• Assess patients continuously and report changes in condition to the care team promptly.
• Administer medications and therapies accurately while following all safety and documentation standards.
• Perform ventilator and hemodynamic support-related nursing tasks as clinically indicated.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and achieve patient outcomes.
• Float to ED as required, providing competent emergency/acute care support within scope.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with authority to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Demonstrate ICU nursing experience and proficiency with critical care workflows.
• Maintain current certification in BLS and ACLS (or obtain per facility policy).
• Possess strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and rapid response skills.
• Show ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage shifting patient acuity.
• Exhibit accurate, timely charting and adherence to regulatory and unit standards.
