Job Summary:

CT is responsible for performing computed tomography imaging to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. This role operates imaging equipment, ensures patient comfort, and follows established safety and imaging protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for CT imaging by verifying identification, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns.
• Position patients and select appropriate scanning parameters according to ordered protocols.
• Operate CT equipment safely, ensuring high-quality image acquisition and proper documentation.
• Maintain radiation safety practices, including appropriate shielding and adherence to ALARA principles.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report malfunctions, maintaining readiness for scheduled procedures.
• Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure timely, accurate imaging results and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current CT/Radiologic Technology credential (as required by state/contract).
• Demonstrate knowledge of CT imaging protocols, anatomy positioning, and scan parameter selection.
• Apply radiation safety and infection-control standards consistently.
• Possess strong patient communication skills and the ability to work with diverse patient populations.
• Maintain documentation accuracy and adhere to established policies and quality standards.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage a varied schedule and shift coverage needs when requested.
