Job Summary:

The Clinical Nurse (Registered Nurse) provides safe, evidence-based patient care using the nursing process and professional nursing standards for a designated patient group. This role supports continuity of care through assessment, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, patient and caregiver education, and quality/safety initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate patient care needs using critical thinking and the nursing process.
• Deliver patient-centered care by integrating evidence-based practices and approved nursing standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.
• Prioritize care delivery including teaching, rounding, coaching, transition planning, and appropriate delegation.
• Educate patients and caregivers on the plan of care, transition of care, health promotion, and disease prevention.
• Coordinate safe throughput and document nursing care accurately to support compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current NYS RN License.
• Maintain active BLS certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Demonstrate telemetry competency and have Tele experience; manage ventilator patients as needed.
• Possess at least 2 years of Tele and/or critical care experience.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with additional travel experience preferred for travel roles.
• Prefer Epic experience and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), with associate degree considered only with relevant experience and/or active BSN matriculation.
