Job Summary:

Under general supervision, the Radiation Therapist performs radiotherapy procedures as prescribed by a physician and in accordance with established safety and practice standards. This role delivers patient-centered care throughout the course of treatment while ensuring accurate setup, verification, and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed radiation therapy using departmental equipment and protocols.
• Verify patient identity, diagnosis, and treatment prescriptions to ensure accurate treatments.
• Prepare treatment rooms and immobilize/position patients for prescribed anatomical targets.
• Monitor patients during treatment, respond to questions, and report unusual reactions or events.
• Perform treatment verification steps, including appropriate imaging/port film exposures, and communicate necessary corrections.
• Complete required electronic or written documentation and support quality improvement and safety initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Hold a minimum associate’s degree in radiography with certification in radiation therapy.
• Maintain state licensure as a radiation therapist in Ohio and an active ARRT Radiation Therapy credential.
• Possess current CPR certification.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a clinical environment.
• Complete training and readiness to work with verification processes; TrueBeam/ARIA experience preferred.
• Bring 1–2 years of radiation therapy experience, with demonstrated independence and sound clinical judgment.
