Job Summary:

The BACKFILL - TRAVEL - CARDIAC CATH LAB TECH - COST CENTER (746) supports the Cardiac Cath Lab team by assisting with catheterization procedures and ensuring a safe, well-prepared environment for patient care. This role requires strong sterile technique, diligent equipment setup, and readiness to collaborate across the cath lab workflow.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare procedure rooms by setting up sterile supplies, instrumentation, and equipment per protocol.
• Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures under staff direction while maintaining patient safety.
• Maintain strict aseptic technique throughout assigned tasks and support infection prevention efforts.
• Monitor and manage cath lab supplies and inventory to prevent workflow delays.
• Support patient preparation and post-procedure care activities, including handling documentation requirements.
• Coordinate effectively with cath lab staff, physicians, and nursing to ensure smooth procedure execution.

Qualifications:

• Hold a recognized credential as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist/Technician (or equivalent cath lab training).
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting (Cath Lab/EP).
• Maintain current knowledge of sterile processing practices and aseptic technique.
• Operate cath lab equipment safely and competently, following established protocols.
• Possess strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail in a high-acuity environment.
• Ability to function reliably in rotating team workflows, including weekend coverage and call as required.
