Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care nursing to critically ill patients in the ICU, managing complex needs and life-threatening conditions. Ensure optimal patient outcomes through vigilant monitoring, invasive and non-invasive procedures, and titration of critical drips.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients with complex health conditions, including sepsis, cardiac events, and neurological issues.
• Administer and titrate intravenous medications such as vasopressors, sedatives, and vasodilators according to physician orders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including hospitalists, RTs, and specialists, to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize advanced equipment like ventilators, telemetry, Lumbar drains, and hemodynamic monitoring devices.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Document patient care activities accurately and promptly in electronic medical records.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with ICU experience of at least two years.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS and NIHSS preferred.
• Experience with critical care procedures such as CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ventilator management.
• Ability to titrate and manage titratable drips, including Levophed, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, and Insulin.
• Travel experience required; comfortable with floating to stepdown, med-surg, or telemetry as needed.
