Job Summary:

Highly skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry care, providing safe, evidence-based nursing services to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. Ensures comprehensive patient assessments, interdisciplinary collaboration, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process, research, and organizational standards specific to telemetry nursing.
• Assess and evaluate cardiac and overall patient needs, applying critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on cardiovascular health, telemetry equipment, and post-discharge care instructions.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Manage assignments within the Modified Primary Nursing model, optimizing resource utilization and patient safety.

Qualifications:

• Current NYS RN License required.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications required; Telemetry, Vent, and Ventilator experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience in a Med Surg or similar setting.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience, including 1 year of travel nursing if applicable.
• EPIC electronic health record experience highly preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree considered with relevant experience or ongoing BSN studies.
