Job Summary:
The Polysomnographer/Sleep Tech performs comprehensive sleep testing procedures, data collection, and therapeutic interventions under supervision to support accurate diagnosis and patient care in a sleep laboratory setting.

Responsibilities:

• Review patient histories and verify medical study orders prior to testing.
• Follow established sleep center protocols for conducting sleep studies and providing patient education.
• Select, calibrate, and apply appropriate equipment and electrodes according to standards.
• Perform routine positive airway pressure mask fitting and desensitization procedures.
• Implement safety measures and therapeutic interventions, including positive airway pressure and supplemental oxygen.
• Analyze sleep study data and prepare detailed reports for provider interpretation.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Polysomnographic Technologist credential.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a clinical sleep laboratory.
• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in navigating EMR and sleep data software platforms.
• Strong knowledge of sleep testing protocols and patient safety procedures.
