Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care within an ambulatory surgery setting, ensuring patient safety and optimal clinical outcomes. Collaborate with surgical teams across various specialties to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and circulate during surgical procedures across multiple specialties including Orthopedics, ENT, General, Urology, Podiatry, Plastics, and Gastroenterology.
• Scrub in for surgeries when required, preparing sterile instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative changes to ensure safety.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly.
• Assist with preoperative assessments and post-operative care, ensuring patient comfort and readiness for discharge.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid New Jersey State Nursing License.
• Possess 1-2 years of operating room experience in an ambulatory or hospital setting.
• Demonstrate circulating skills across multiple surgical specialties.
• Preferably have scrub experience in addition to circulating duties.
• Maintain BLS certification.
• Hold an Associate's degree in Nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred.
