Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist for immediate start in a critical access hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care across various patient populations, including NICU, ICU, and ED floors.

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Operate and monitor ventilators, ABG machines, and other respiratory equipment.
• Document patient care and treatment accurately within the Epic system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including licensure and certifications.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid Vermont state licensure as a respiratory care practitioner or eligibility to take the NBRC written exam.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist within the last year, including NICU experience.
• Current certifications: RRT or CRT, AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
• Proficiency in Epic electronic medical records and Pyxis medication system.
• Experience handling ventilators, ABGs, and other advanced respiratory equipment.
• Must have reliable transportation, as public transit is unavailable.
