Job Summary:

Provide specialized critical care nursing services in the ICU to acutely ill patients, ensuring quality and compassionate care while adhering to hospital policies and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver advanced nursing care to ICU patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and responding to emergent situations.
• Perform invasive procedures such as insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, and chest tubes.
• Document patient information accurately and timely using the Meditech system.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with certification requirements and hospital policies, including ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Assist with patient and family education, providing attentive and compassionate support.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in the state of Tennessee.
• Possess ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Demonstrate ICU experience with proficiency in advanced procedures.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with specific ICU background preferred.
• Able to work 13-week travel assignments with flexible scheduling.
• Capable of working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including weekends.
