Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and adherence to hospital protocols throughout the childbirth process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient's progress during labor to identify any complications.
• Administer medications and analgesics as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Document patient care, vital signs, and delivery details accurately.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care and newborn care procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment and follow infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state registration.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Labor and Delivery unit.
• Demonstrated proficiency in fetal monitoring and obstetric emergency procedures.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and compassion.
• Experience with electronic charting systems, preferably Altera.
• CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required.
