Job Summary:
Provide specialized care to cardiac and stepdown patients in a hospital setting. Deliver high-quality nursing support in a fast-paced Telemetry/Stepdown environment while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses according to physician orders.
• Perform bedside assessments, document findings, and communicate updates during shift handoffs.
• Implement procedures such as post-operative nursing care, chest tube management, and cardiac device troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and certification requirements.
• Utilize medical equipment including IV pumps, Bipap, Hoyer lifts, and bladder scanners.

Qualifications:

• Valid VA license or Compact license required at submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital experience in IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and cardiac care procedures.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to unit policies and work effectively in dynamic environments.
