Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room, ensuring rapid assessment and treatment of acute conditions. Plays a vital role in delivering safe, efficient patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients upon arrival and determine priority for care based on clinical severity.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Monitor patient conditions continuously, recognizing and responding to changes promptly.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards including EMTALA, confidentiality, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active and valid state RN license.
• Possess current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Have at least one year of recent experience as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital, preferably in an ER setting.
• Demonstrate knowledge of behavioral violence prevention and infection control practices.
• Be able to respond quickly and accurately to clinical changes in emergency situations.
