Job Summary:
Provide direct patient care and support services in a day health center, ensuring the well-being and safety of clients through basic nursing responsibilities and therapeutic activities. Assist with daily living activities, health monitoring, and recreational engagement to enhance client quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• Administer basic nursing tasks including taking vital signs and measuring output.
• Recognize and report abnormal signs and symptoms to the healthcare team.
• Implement therapeutic and recreational activities to promote client well-being.
• Support patients with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and providing fluids.
• Utilize assistive devices and perform range of motion exercises as part of restorative care.
• Maintain infection control, universal precautions, and patient rights at all times.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid State of Hawaii Nurse Aide Certificate.
• Demonstrate knowledge of basic nursing skills and medical terminology.
• Display understanding of aging, infection control, and body mechanics.
• Possess the ability to recognize abnormal signs and provide supportive care.
• Prior experience in LTC or SNF settings preferred.
