Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, interventional, and emergency procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab or EP Lab. Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, monitoring patient status, and ensuring safety compliance throughout shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care to patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
• Assist physicians as a circulator, scrub, or monitor during interventions while adhering to sterile techniques.
• Monitor patient vital signs, ECG rhythms, and response to treatments, recognizing abnormalities promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, assessments, and patient responses in EPIC or similar systems.
• Prepare and manage the holding area, and provide coverage in the EP Lab as needed.
• Complete assessments such as ECG rhythm recognition and Safe Medicate during orientation, passing with acceptable scores.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Ohio license or a compact state license in hand, with a minimum of 18 months of combined perm experience in the specialty.
• Possess active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Xper (Wit) and EPIC systems preferred.
• Complete all assessments successfully with a maximum of two attempts allowed.
• Provide two recent references from managers or supervisors in the specialty within the past year.
