Job Summary:
Provide specialized surgical care to patients in a clinical setting, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. Facilitate pre-operative and post-operative procedures while supporting the surgical team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Assist during surgical procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any intraoperative changes.
• Maintain detailed documentation of surgical procedures and patient progress.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid professional surgical technologist certification.
• Proven experience in a surgical or operating room setting.
• Strong understanding of sterile techniques and surgical instruments.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts based on on-call and holiday schedules.
