Job Summary:
The Mammography Technologist will perform routine and specialized breast imaging procedures, including mammograms, biopsies, and needle localizations. They will operate independently to produce high-quality images, ensuring accurate diagnosis and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct diagnostic mammography exams in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Perform specialized procedures such as biopsies and needle localizations to assist in disease detection and treatment.
• Assess patient needs, gain cooperation, and communicate effectively to ensure a positive imaging experience.
• Adhere to all regulatory standards and institutional policies to maintain patient privacy and safety.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver timely and accurate imaging results.
• Assist in orienting new staff and performing departmental procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active State Mammography License and certification through ARRT (not necessarily with ARRT if state-license required).
• Possess at least 2 years of mammography experience in a clinical setting.
• Be proficient with Epic or similar charting systems.
• Maintain current certifications in CPR/AHA or Red Cross at the time of submission.
• Ability to work independently with sound clinical judgment.
• Meet background check requirements, including absence of prior DUIs or background hits.
