Job Summary:
The Perfusionist will operate complex cardiovascular support equipment during surgical procedures, providing critical perfusion services in emergent and routine cardiac cases. This role requires independent assistance with ECMO cannulation and supporting various extracorporeal therapies.

Responsibilities:

• Operate Spectrum pumps and related perfusion equipment, including Terumo system 1, Quest MPS 2/3, and other advanced devices.
• Assist in adult, pediatric, and neonatal ECMO cannulation, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Manage perfusion equipment in fast-paced, emergent cardiac surgeries, including cardiopulmonary bypass and other extracorporeal procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams in the operating room, providing expert perfusion support during complex procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintain equipment functionality, and document procedures accurately.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study with at least 5 years of perfusion experience.
• Certification as a Clinical Perfusionist (ABCP), with current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Spectrum pumps, Terumo system 1, Quest MPS 2/3, and related extracorporeal systems.
• Possess minimum 1-year EMR experience, specifically with EPIC software.
• Experience in CVOR, general OR, pediatric CVOR, trauma level 1 centers, and adult ICU settings.
