Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to pediatric oncology and hematology patients, including bone marrow transplant (BMT) cases. Responsible for ensuring patient safety and comfort while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy, medications, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize complications, and escalate concerns promptly.
• Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records (EMR).
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes.
• Assist with patient education and family support regarding treatment plans and procedures.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards at all times.

Qualifications:

• Valid license in hand for nursing in Georgia or Compact State.
• Minimum of 1 year of pediatric or hematology/oncology nursing experience.
• Current BLS, PALS (AHA only), and APHON certification required.
• Demonstrated competency with Epic EMR preferred.
• Able to pass a clinical med pass/fail test and comply with hospital policies.
• Willingness to float to related units including PICU, NICU, and general pediatrics.
