Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit, including step-down ICU and telemetry monitoring. Ensure high-quality patient management while adhering to hospital standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Administer primary nursing care and monitor patients using telemetry equipment.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips to assess cardiac status.
• Conduct fingerstick blood sugar testing and document findings accurately.
• Utilize Meditech charting system and Pyxis for medication administration.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and float to various acute care units as needed.
• Follow scheduled hours, with a focus on maintaining patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Hawaii nursing license by start date; candidate not currently licensed in HI must apply upon acceptance.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent hospital acute care experience.
• Demonstrate experience in progressive care or telemetry units preferred.
• Maintain current BLS certification; ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications are preferred.
• Capable of performing basic cardiac assessments and emergency procedures.
