Job Summary:
Provides specialized respiratory care to patients under physician supervision, including assessment, treatment, and education to improve respiratory function and patient outcomes. Collaborates with healthcare team members to develop and implement effective care plans.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient respiratory status through data collection and clinical assessment.
• Develop and execute individualized respiratory therapy care plans based on patient needs.
• Administer respiratory treatments, including oxygen therapy, bronchoscopy assistance, and mechanical ventilation management.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of treatments, adjusting plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory health, medication use, and equipment operation.
• Document patient care activities, responses, and outcomes accurately in medical records.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (R.R.T.) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care or eligible.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist in Massachusetts.
• Basic computer skills required.
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Prior clinical experience in respiratory care preferred.
