Job Summary:
Seeking a qualified Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to provide specialized patient care on a 12-hour day shift schedule. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in managing IV drips such as Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone, and adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor IV drips, including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone, ensuring patient safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care in a busy hospital setting.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and responses.
• Follow established protocols for patient care, particularly in orthopedic and telemetry overflow units.
• Adhere to staffing ratios of 1:6 or 1:7 to ensure quality patient care.
• Comply with all licensing, certification, and hospital policies, including BLS, NIHSS, and preferred ACLS.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Alabama RN license at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 1 year of hospital nursing experience, preferably in large healthcare facilities.
• Proficient in managing IV drips such as Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone.
• Demonstrate experience in orthopedic units and telemetry overflow.
• Able to work day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with flexible scheduling options.
• Certified in BLS, NIHSS; ACLS preferred.
