Job Description
Job Summary:
Provides occupational therapy services to patients within an acute care and IRF setting. Responsible for evaluating, treating, and discharging patients, ensuring optimal recovery and functional improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient needs through comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients’ motor skills, coordination, and adaptive abilities.
- Collaborate with team members and family members to coordinate care and educate on post-discharge activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in the EMR system.
- Support facility goals by participating in team meetings and adhering to unit policies.
- Provide coverage for weekend shifts and participate in rotation schedules as required.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active OT license and BLS certification.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in hospital or IRF settings.
- Demonstrate strong clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills.
- Be flexible with schedule and willing to work every other weekend and holidays.
- Have experience with stroke/neuro patient care and adaptive equipment use.
- Show excellent teamwork and collaborative abilities.
