Job Summary:
The Electrophysiology Technician supports EP lab procedures within a teaching hospital environment, focusing on catheterization, IR, and electrophysiology interventions. This role involves operating specialized equipment and collaborating with medical teams to ensure patient safety and procedure success.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and operate EP lab equipment and tools, including mapping systems and catheters.
• Assist physicians during electrophysiology and catheterization procedures, maintaining a sterile environment.
• Monitor patient vitals and clinical data throughout procedures, ensuring patient stability.
• Adhere to hospital protocols, including safety, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Complete required modules and training prior to assignment, emphasizing time-sensitive safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years EP lab experience, with cath, IR, or EP expertise.
• Hold relevant certifications such as RCVT, RCIS, ACLS, and BLS; NCLEX preferred.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of EP procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Be nicotine-free and pass a negative 10-panel drug screen with cotinine.
• Be able to work a 4x10 day shift (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) with on-call availability.
