Job Summary:

Seeking a qualified Dental Assistant to provide skilled chairside support in a fast-paced dental lab environment. This position is temporary, covering a leave of absence, with potential for extension based on staffing needs and compliance regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist dental practitioners by preparing patients and ensuring smooth clinical operations during procedures.
• Chart patient information and clinical notes efficiently within the EPIC system.
• Maintain sterilization standards and ensure all dental instruments are properly disinfected.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including AHA certification requirements, and follow confidentiality policies.
• Support team members in daily lab tasks and patient management as needed.
• Complete necessary modules during orientation within the NYP Workday system.

Qualifications:

• Obtain and maintain NY license; pending licenses are not accepted.
• Possess at least one year of experience as a Chairside Dental Assistant.
• Complete a Certified Dental Assisting Program (preferred).
• Demonstrate experience with EPIC electronic charting systems.
• Hold current AHA certification.
• Ability to work a 9:00 am - 5:30 pm shift, including a 60-minute break, or an 8:30 am - 5:00 pm schedule.
