Provides specialized surgical assistance as the first assist during operative procedures. Supports surgeons in achieving optimal patient outcomes through efficient and precise intraoperative care.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with surgical teams to facilitate safe and efficient procedures.
• Assist surgeons by providing exposure, hemostasis, and tissue handling.
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
• Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies for procedures.
• Monitor patient condition intraoperatively and respond to surgical needs.
• Document procedural details accurately in patient records.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current First Assist certification or licensure.
• Possess previous experience in surgical assisting within a hospital or clinical setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency in surgical protocols and sterile techniques.
• Be skilled in handling various surgical instruments and equipment.
• Maintain strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Have the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
