Job Summary:
Provides specialized psychiatric nursing care to patients within a hospital setting, ensuring safety, assessment, and treatment coordination. Must be flexible to float to different units and facilities as needed, maintaining high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer psychiatric nursing interventions and monitor patient responses.
• Float to various units and facilities within a 10-mile radius according to hospital needs.
• Complete accurate documentation and charting utilizing Cerner or similar electronic health records.
• Comply with all licensing, certification, and background screening requirements promptly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Adhere to travel and hospital policies, including drug screenings and fingerprinting procedures.

Qualifications:

• Valid PA or Compact Nursing License required at submission.
• Minimum of 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience.
• Current AHA CPR/BLS certification; additional unit-specific certifications may be required.
• Ability to work night shifts (3x12 hours) and every other holiday.
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred.
• Comfortable with floating across units and facilities as needed.
